What We Believe

Salvation is complete and all need salvation.
Romans 3:22-25a

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.

Salvation is simple.
Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We have a responsibility to teach others of salvation.
Romans 10:14-15

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Jesus is Lord of all things.
Col. 1:15-20

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

The Bible is our guide-book for Christian living.
II Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit work in unity to develop a mutual relationship of love between God and every person.

John 14:23-26

Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Regardless of social status, all people are equal in the sight of God.
Galatians 3:26-28

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Luke 9:48

Then he [Jesus] said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all he is the greatest.”

Worldwide Christian Schools Statement of Faith

1.  We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men,  and the Divine and final authority for all mankind.

2.  We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3.  We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died on the cross, the sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures.  He arose bodily from the dead, and He now is at the right hand of the Father.

4.  We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and is His work to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell and empower the believer for godly living and service.

5.  We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

6.  We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.

7.  We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this coming has an important bearing on the life of the believer.

8.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting fellowship and joy with the Lord, and of those who will not accept salvation through Jesus Christ to everlasting separation from God.
