Why Schools

First of all, kids are so innocent. They are like sponges. They are wide open to learning new things, and they are so hungry for knowledge. They’re so curious.  So how can you not love kids?

Secondly, Christian education is education that puts God in every single subject because He owns our world. It’s His world, He is the Creator.

There are two ways for us to learn about God. One is through the Bible, meaning the Bible is a great guidebook where we learn about God and Jesus. But the other thing that God gave us that teaches us a lot about Him is creation.  Christian education, better than any other means we have right now, addresses the creation portion in a very thorough and effective way.

The majesty of creation, how everything works, how everything is designed, the colors, the systems that are in place. When you look at science in particular, and how someone who could say there is no God; you want to point them to science and say, how can there not be a God?

So you really can’t talk about math, you really can’t talk about science, unless you talk about God as the Creator.  By our definition, Christian education is very high quality education, and God is in it, every bit of it.

Particularly today, for many kids the teacher-student relationship is more powerful than their parent relationship. It is unfortunate, but it’s true.

The teachers are with these kids typically eight hours a day, five days a week.  That’s true not only in the United States or Canada, but other countries as well. That gives teachers a tremendous ability to impact the kids.  The teachers are there because they are Christians and they believe in the work of that school. They love those kids.
