HANDS
Help Another Nation Develop Schools
HANDS trips are short-term mission trips with a long-term impact. Each trip is different based on the
people involved, the opportunities that come up and the dedication of the team. While HANDS team
experiences include construction or repair of a partner school building in any of a number of developing
countries, it also includes much more. On a HANDS mission trip you can expect to:
- Get a real sense of the “global-ness” of the Gospel;
- Learn how your act of service makes a difference in the lives of many;
- Reach out in Christ’s name to help empower a Christian school to give hope to their community;
- Be challenged and grow in your personal walk with the Lord;
- Trust in God to provide for your need;
- Worship with hosts and your new friends;
- Develop a bond of friendship and trust with your team and with nationals;
- Travel to new countries and experience a different way of life;
- Be challenged to greater missional service in your own community;
- Have your heart be touched!
Getting Started
The best way to start learning about HANDS trips is to read the Intro to HANDS (.pdf). It contains the answers to the most commonly asked
questions and gives information about how our HANDS program works, as well as an overview on how the HANDS program fits into the broader mission and vision of Worldwide Christian Schools.
If you would like to send a HANDS Team from your church, school or community, or would like more information, please contact the HANDS Coordinator, Tim Bootsma, at 866.360.4274 or handscanada@wwcs.org.
The HANDS Application Form and manuals are available for download from the right sidebar.
