Walking Together

The Walking Together program exists to promote ongoing Biblically-based professional development for the indigenous teachers and leaders of our partnering schools.

This program offers practical and interactive courses, workshops, and conferences, as well as follow-up mentoring, on biblical worldview and how it impacts all aspects of Christian education, including pedagogy, curriculum development and leadership.

Funded by WWCS, supporters, and partners, these elements are offered by experienced educators who are willing to share their gifts with others.

Vision: To see Christ central to all aspects of Christian education programs around the world.

Mission: To ensure that indigenous Christian teachers and educational leaders have access to training opportunities that allow them to develop Christ-centred understandings and practices in education.

Focus: Christian schools, primarily in developing countries, who express an interest in and/or need for the training and mentoring this program offers.

Goal: To raise up indigenous leaders who will multiply what they have learned throughout their region.

Method: “Train the Trainers” by providing training and mentoring for:

  • Teachers
  • Principals
  • School administrative staff
  • Board members
  • Parents
  • Church leaders
